Sir Ratan Tata Visiting Fellowships 2026

Applications are invited for the Sir Ratan Tata Visiting Fellowships 2026 at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Last date to apply for this scholarship is June 30, 2026.

This prestigious postdoctoral fellowship gives opportunity to enhance learning in the London School of Economics. It opens the portals to the researcher who are conducting social science research in the area of economic and social development in India and South Asia.

Under this fellowship a monthly subsistence allowance of £1,750 will be given. A scholar has to spend six-month residency period in London. Broad area of research under this fellowship are economic development, social development, public policy, governance, development challenges in India and South Asia.

The Sir Ratan Tata Post-doctoral Fellowship was established in 1997 at the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE) in partnership with the Sir Ratan Tata Trust. Under this fellowship a selected researcher is expected to finish a research paper of high quality during their stay and have to present in a seminar organized by the Indian Observatory.

A selected candidate have to bring all study material and data required for their research prior to their visit to LSE.

Who can apply:

Candidate must hold PhD.

Applicant must have permanent employment with an established institution in SAARC region which includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Area of interest in economic and social development in India and South Asian region.
