Educational Qualifications & Experience Required
RGIPT maintains rigorous standards for faculty appointments. The general requirements are:
- Ph.D. Requirement: A Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch/discipline is mandatory for all faculty positions.
- Assistant Professor (Grade I): Requires a Ph.D. with at least 3 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/research/industrial experience.
- Associate Professor: Requires a Ph.D. with at least 6 years of experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor (Grade I) in a reputed institution.
- Professor: Requires a Ph.D. with at least 10 years of experience, of which at least 4 years should be at the Associate Professor level.
Application Processing and Age Limit :
Cycle I: As on 1st May 2026, upper age limit is 35 years for Assistant Professor.
Cycle II: As on 1st November 2026, upper age limit is 35 years for Assistant Professor.
In exceptional cases age relaxation may be considered. For reserved category candidates, relaxation is permissible as per the guidelines of the Government of India. Reservation benefits will be applicable as per G.O.I. norms. The candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) are required to attach the Caste/Category Certificate in the format as prescribed by the Govt. of India. The Institute follows the Central list in the case of SC/ST, OBCs & PwD.
Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will be placed in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, ranging from Level 10 to Level 14A, depending on the post and experience. The institute also offers attractive benefits such as Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA), medical facilities, and residential accommodation on campus.
