Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), an A+ Grade NAAC accredited institution, has announced a specialized two-week refresher course titled “Collaborative Academic and Research Opportunities for Achieving One Health.” Organized by the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), the course will run from April 2 to April 15, 2026.
Hybrid Refresher Course
In a move to maximize accessibility, the programme will be conducted in a blended mode, allowing participants to attend either offline at the UGC-MMTTC venue in Rohtak or via online sessions.
Highlights of Refresher Course
The programme is designed to bridge the gap between human, animal, and environmental health. Key objectives include:
- Interdisciplinary Synergy: Sensitizing faculty to the necessity of collaborative research.
- Capacity Building: Developing skills to design academic programmes and research projects aligned with One Health principles.
- Resource Mobilization: Enhancing faculty expertise in proposal development and forging strategic partnerships.
- Translational Knowledge: Addressing global challenges through integrated health perspectives.
Participation & Eligibility
The programme is open to Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors across all faculties in Universities and Higher Education Institutions.
- Prerequisites: Participation in a Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) is mandatory.
- The Gap Rule: Teachers may opt for this refresher course after a one-year gap following their FIP.
- Regulatory Compliance: Faculty from colleges under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, or those affiliated for at least three years, are eligible.
Certification and Career Advancement
Participants who meet the mandatory attendance (10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily) and evaluation criteria will receive a UGC-valid certificate. This certification is officially recognized for Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) requirements, promotions, and recruitments.
